Cassie Conrad and Erin Tufts are the design team duo behind the New Orleans based line Nire. For their fall 2011 collection which debuted March 25 at NOLA Fashion Week they focused on functional pieces that have the ability to go from day to night. Their unique vibe has been described as, "the glamour of Billie holiday drenched with the edge of The Runways." I thought the abundantly flowing peacock fabric was the real high point in this collection, pictured above in a cropped cocoon jacket. It also looked great in a long sleeve dress (which opened the show), boyfriend blazer, and some harem pants that looked too chic to appear that comfortable! Definitely some staples here that every fashion forward woman would appreciate being able to pull out of her closet, day or night.
