Courtney Bourgeois Plauche' is the true southern Louisiana girl behind cocobourgeoisie. Growing up so close to New Orleans' rich history and culture is a fuel which inspires her Fall 2011 line. Using bold color and prints as well as multiple textures, Courtney is not designing for the everyday woman. In this collection filled with lots of cocktail evening wear, she focused on "exploring global" and creating some classic looks in modern ways. Fit was an issue with some of the looks later in the show, but overall I loved the loudness some of her statement pieces created. I would love to own some of the dresses in this collection... I'd wear one as I sip sangria in a small paella restaurant on the marina of Marbella, Spain.
